Finance is responsible for Commonwealth land and property management.
This includes developing and implementing the policies and legislation that form the Commonwealth Property Management Framework, and administering the Lands Acquisition Act 1989 and the Public Works Committee Act 1969.
Finance manages the Australian Government’s domestic non-Defence property portfolio and the delivery of domestic non-Defence major capital works projects.
Finance also manages the Whole-of-Australian-Government Coordinated Procurement Arrangements for property-related services. All non-corporate Commonwealth entities are required to use the arrangements for their outsourced property needs.
