Corporate Travel Management audit

The Department of Finance commissioned an independent audit of the Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) Travel Management Services arrangement, which is managed by Corporate Travel Management (CTM). The audit was commissioned following the identification of accounting irregularities within CTM's UK operations and was undertaken to determine whether similar issues had affected Australian Government travel arrangements.

About the audit

The audit was conducted by Axiom Associates through Finance's Internal Audit Program and commenced in January 2026. The review assessed CTM's management of the Australian Government Travel Program, including the application of travel charges, fees, refunds and booking practices.

Outcome
