Project Updates

York Park Car Park site works

The Department of Finance (Finance) is leading the development of the National Security Office Precinct (NSOP) at York Park in Barton, ACT. The NSOP will provide a permanent solution to the critical accommodation and capability requirements of several national security and other Commonwealth agencies.

The site area comprises of the two car parks at York Park and Windsor Walk in Barton ACT. The York Park Oak Planation is not being developed.

Lendlease is the Managing Contractor for the NSOP and is expected to commence early works from November 2024 with full site closure from early 2025.

To help offset the loss of parking spaces, the John Gorton Campus Car Park (JGC Car Park) is being constructed next to the John Gorton Building, Parkes. This enabling project provides over 1,000 car spaces in a multi-level car park, within close vicinity to the York Park site. The JGC Car Park is currently under construction and due to be completed in late 2024.
