Finance is responsible for Commonwealth land and property management.
This includes the Commonwealth Property Management Framework Resource Management Guide No. 500, Lands Acquisition Framework Resource Management Guide No. 501 and administering the Lands Acquisition Act 1989 and the Public Works Committee Act 1969 . Finance also manages the Finance Owned Estate, and the delivery of major capital works and land remediation projects as requested by Government.
Finance manages the Whole-of-Australian-Government Coordinated Procurement Arrangements for property-related services. All non-corporate Commonwealth entities are required to use the arrangements for their outsourced property needs.
Commonwealth National Lease
The Commonwealth National Lease is a leasing template intended to be used by Commonwealth tenant entities. It is designed to assist Commonwealth tenant entities with lease negotiations as using standard form documents can reduce the time and costs associated with negotiations.
