What does meaningful work look like in the Finance Graduate Program? For Rita Sung, it meant contributing to a Bill introduced to Parliament.

During her first rotation in the Regulatory Law Reform team, Rita played a key role in developing the Bill – leading one of its measures, engaging with stakeholders, and preparing briefing materials and presentations for senior leaders.

This hands-on experience gave Rita insight into how policy is shaped in practice, from collaboration and stakeholder engagement through to supporting senior decision-making and progressing legislation.

A standout moment was seeing the Bill introduced to the House of Representatives by the Assistant Treasurer.

“I've been loving my rotation and learned so much about how bills get introduced! My team has been so supportive and wonderful,” Rita said.

Rita’s journey highlights the opportunities our graduates have to contribute to real policy outcomes from day one, while building valuable skills in a supportive environment.
