The Department of Finance (Finance) has recently added 3 new procurement courses as part of the Commonwealth Procurement and Contract Management Training Suite:
- Procurement Risk Management: Learn to effectively apply risk management principles to identify, assess, manage, and mitigate risk to deliver required procurement outcomes.
- Commercial Negotiation: Build commercial confidence, understand emotional intelligence, room dynamics, and escalation. Learn to respond effectively to the behaviours and tactics of seasoned vendors.
- Industry Engagement and Market Research: Gain strategies and techniques to conduct market research and manage industry engagement whilst maintaining probity. Learn to engage across all four phases of the procurement lifecycle.

Who should attend these courses
APS officials who are new to procurement, need a refresher, or are looking to move to a role in procurement. The courses benefit officials working in procurement on an ad hoc basis, regular procurers, and delegates.
Note: The Procurement for SES Delegates course is locked to SES officials only. If you are an EL2 acting in, or frequently act in, an SES role and would like to attend, please contact our Procurement Training team who will register you.
