Stream recruitment

Stream recruitment enables the Department to carefully identify the capabilities specific to each stream and design a recruitment process to suit. In turn, candidates have the opportunity to target their application to a specific type of role and demonstrate their capability across a range of assessment activities.

The Department will use the merit pools created through these recruitment processes to fill vacancies as they arise. The merit pools will have a lifespan of 12 months from the date of advertising.

At Finance, we have identified a number of professional streams that help guide our recruitment campaigns:

  • Accounting and Financial Management
  • Policy
  • Enabling Services

Recruitment for specialist and technical roles outside of these streams is also carried out as needed.
