Finance is always looking to build the procurement and contracting capabilities across the APS.

The sessions were delivered over two days, covering a range of procurement and contract management topics, including a specialised course for SES, equipping attendees with valuable skills and knowledge that can be immediately apply in their work.

Key learnings

  • How to plan and conduct procurement from phase 1 to 3 of the Procurement Lifecycle
  • Key principles of contract management
  • How to manage contractual requirements and supplier performance
  • Common probity and integrity risks in procurement
  • The broader considerations expected of SES delegates when leading procurement activities.

Participants engaged in case studies and scenario-based simulations and praised the practical applications and facilitator expertise.
