David Gruen is the Australian Statistician and Agency Head of the Australian Bureau of Statistics, overseeing national economic, social, and environmental data functions. He stewards the APS Data Profession and leads statistical innovation to ensure the delivery of high-quality data for government decision-making. David brings extensive experience to the role, focusing on providing trusted and timely insights to inform the Australian public.

Dr Angelia Grant, Deputy Secretary, Macroeconomic Group, Australian Treasury
Angelia is the Deputy Secretary of the Macroeconomic Group in the Australian Treasury. This Group advises the Government on a wide range of matters of macroeconomic importance. This includes economic conditions and the economic outlook in Australia and internationally, macroeconomic policy settings, and structural trends, including those related to productivity and climate change.

Dr Susie Kluth is the Department of Education’s Chief Data Officer, supporting the department to harness data for policy development and program delivery. She also leads the implementation of the department’s Data Strategy and drives efforts to build data capability across the department.

Tenille Collins, Chief Data Officer, Services Australia
Tenille Collins is the Chief Data Officer (CDO) for Services Australia. The CDO is accountable for the agency’s enterprise-wide governance and use of data as an asset, as well as building agency data capabilities. The CDO also ensures the agency’s work and data agenda aligns with the Australian Government’s Data and Digital Government Strategy.

Duncan Young, Chief Data Officer, Department of Health, Disability and Ageing
Duncan Young is the Chief Data Officer and head of Evidence and Research Division at the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. This role focuses on driving improvements in data capability and embedding the use of data in policy development, program delivery, and evaluation. Duncan also has responsibility for leading health and medical research initiatives to generate new evidence to deliver improvements in health care.
