Roles and Responsibilities - AGF, Entity Fleet Managers and sgfleet

Australian Government Fleet (AGF)

  • ensures that the services provided to entities by sgfleet are consistent with the FSC
  • provides advice and assistance to entities on issues relating to the operation of the FSC
  • meets regularly with sgfleet to address operational and contract management issues
  • liaises with motor vehicle manufacturers on pricing and service delivery matters

Entity Fleet Managers

  • are responsible for the financial and operational aspects of their entity’s fleet and should encourage good fleet management practices
  • provide advice to entity officers about the operation of the fleet contract and (non-EVS) vehicle selection policies
  • prepare entity-specific fleet management reports
  • utilise sgfleet IT reports to optimise the operation of the entity’s fleet
  • meet regularly with sgfleet to discuss the operation of the entity’s fleet, including vehicle ordering, vehicle return, vehicle servicing, vehicle over-utilisation and under-utilisation
  • liaise with AGF as required

sgfleet

  • provides contractually specified vehicle fleet management and leasing services
  • meets regularly with entity fleet managers
  • provides expert advice and assistance to entity fleet managers
  • provides up to date, accurate and accessible fleet management data
  • manages operational issues relating to the ordering, delivery, maintenance and return of leased and owned vehicles
