Mental Health Advisers
The Department of Finance has a select group of staff specifically trained in recognising the early warning signs of mental health concerns. The advisers act as a first point of contact for staff including staff that are carers of people with mental health concerns to provide information on where and how to access advice or support.
Reasonable Adjustment Passport
The Department of Finance recognises the importance of providing support to employees who require an adjustment to support them in the workplace. In these circumstances, employees can complete a reasonable adjustment passport, which can be carried with them between roles. Passports assist staff, particularly those who have a disability, by not having to retell their story regarding any workplace adjustments they have in place when a new manager is appointed or when they move to another section or department.
