Finance has launched the Contractor Reporting, Integrity Information Solution (CRIIS), a web-based platform that will deliver enhanced transparency in contingent workforce processes and will support the engagement of temporary workers across government.
What is CRIIS?
CRIIS will support key stakeholders delivering services to the Commonwealth through various Whole of Australian Government panel arrangements.
The platform will:
- support government agencies when purchasing contractor services.
- bring suppliers and contractors together to provide services to agencies.
- support integrity around the use of contractors in government.
The initial release is targeted to support the People Panel and the Management Advisory Services (MAS) Panel.
The ‘I’s in CRIIS – a commitment to integrity
The Australian Government is committed to building a strong culture of integrity in the public service, including for contractors.
CRIIS helps support this goal by providing a clear view of how contractors are used. It shows where contractors are working and how they support government services.
Who will use CRIIS?
At first, CRIIS will support the People Panel Phase 2 (Labour Hire Services) and the Management Advisory Services (MAS) Panel and is in scope to expand to include People Panel Phase 1 (Recruitment and Search Services), People Panel Phase 3 (Professional Contractor Services), and other panels as they are onboarded to CRIIS.
Suppliers are now being invited to register on CRIIS to establish contractor relationships and undertake reporting obligations. Contractors will then be able to self-register on CRIIS, to establish their supplier relationships and record hours worked under a People Panel Phase 2 engagement.
As a centralised solution, CRIIS will enable data sharing across agencies to support integrity and due diligence in procurement decision-making processes.
