The Australian Government Charging Policy sets out the scope, considerations, principles, considerations, requirements and reporting needed from Commonwealth entities to demonstrate charging is developed and maintained consistent with Government authority and intensions. It is focused on the amount paid by individuals, businesses and organisations for government goods, services and regulatory activity outputs with the aggregation of the revenues the funding considered in Budgets.
The Portfolio Charging Review (PCR) is part of the Charging Policy. It provides ongoing assurance to Government that the scale, reach and the levels of charging by Commonwealth entities are consistent with Government policy decisions, current Government intent and the Charging Policy, and the process to address any associated issues.
