Higher Education Gender-based Violence Regulator

Regulator function

The Higher Education Gender-based Violence Regulator, established within the Department of Education, regulates gender-based violence in Australia’s higher education sector by overseeing and enforcing higher education providers’ compliance with the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence.

  • From 1 January 2027, all other higher education providers registered under the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011
