Rick Callaghan had a desire to provide economic and culturally acceptable services and started Yaran in 2000. Rick is an Aboriginal man descended from the Potaruwutj people of the Padthaway region of South Australia and remains the sole owner and Managing Director of Yaran.

The majority of Yaran’s projects involve gathering substantial amounts of information from community consultations, desktop research and interviews/workshops with small stakeholder groups. This data is analysed and further discussed with our client prior to presentation of the final outcome. Due to the sensitive nature of our evaluations, we often need ethical clearance prior to commencing work.
