The Centre for Customs and Excise Studies (CCES) is recognised as the leading international centre of excellence for research, training, education, and professional development in the field of customs, excise, trade facilitation and border management. CCES hosts the secretariat for the International Network of Customs Universities and publishes the World Customs Journal, which is dedicated to international customs matters and is fully endorsed and co-badged by the World Customs Organisation.

The Centre plays a leading role in promoting the World Bank trade facilitation agenda, the Australian Government Regional Trade for Development initiatives and supporting the Oceania Customs Organisation develop customs capacity across the pacific.
