GovLINK is a secure communications service that enables Commonwealth agencies to exchange information safely across public infrastructure. It supports encrypted data transfers for information classified up to (and including) the PROTECTED level.
Used by more than 130 Commonwealth entities and supporting over 450 registered domains, GovLINK underpins a wide range of agency systems and business processes that rely on secure inter‑agency communications.
GovLINK provides authenticated and encrypted connections that support compliance with Australian Government security requirements for information in transit, including requirements set out in the Information Security Manual (ISM). It supports agencies in meeting protective security obligations while maintaining reliable and cost-effective connectivity across government.
GovLINK is delivered by the Department of Finance as part of its role in providing shared government services that support secure, trusted collaboration between agencies.
