Last week, Finance staff came together for Finance in Colour, a four-day exhibition celebrating the creativity, talents and interests that exist across our department.
Held in the OCA Atrium, the exhibition showcased a diverse collection of artworks and creative projects from Finance staff and the Kids of Finance.
Paintings, photography, woodwork, crochet, bonsai, digital art, LEGO creations and many other works were displayed, offering a glimpse into the passions our people pursue outside their day-to-day roles.
Throughout the week, staff visited the exhibition to admire the artwork, meet artists and learn more about the stories behind the pieces on display. The exhibition created opportunities for colleagues from across the department to connect through shared interests and discover talents.
The Kids of Finance display was a particular highlight, showcasing the creativity and imagination of Finance families. The display brought colour, personality and plenty of smiles, reinforcing the important role families play in supporting our people.
Organised by the Social Club, Finance in Colour was about more than displaying artwork. It provided an opportunity to celebrate the people behind the work we do every day and recognise the diverse experiences, interests and perspectives that contribute to our workplace culture.
Initiatives such as Finance in Colour help create opportunities for staff to connect beyond their immediate teams, build relationships and share different aspects of themselves with colleagues. They are one example of how staff-led activities contribute to a positive, inclusive and connected workplace.
