Congratulations to our 2026 Finance Awards winners

“Recognition strengthens our culture – and it helps us understand what excellence looks like in practice.”

Last week Finance staff came together to celebrate the incredible work of 7 individuals and 5 teams across the department.

The Finance Awards are our chance to recognise the people behind this work and show how much their contributions are valued.

The Awards promote our goals and central values, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and integrity in every facet of our work.

Our winners were awarded for their excellence and integrity across 5 award categories:

• Stewardship
• Engagement
• Future-focused
• Inclusion
• Individual Leadership.

We are proud to recognise both the essential everyday work that keeps the department delivering as well as Finance’s high-profile achievements.

Some of the outstanding work recognised at the Awards include:

• Delivery of the COMCAR national fleet EV roll-out and transforming its supporting infrastructure, setting a benchmark for sustainable government transport.
• Supporting decision-making on the Health and Disability Grand Bargain, with a focus on fiscal sustainability, implementation risks and long-term policy outcomes.
• Championing the roll-out of a digital platform across multiple Budget processes to fundamentally improve Finance’s most complex and time-critical operating environments.
• Demonstrating a genuine commitment to developing and supporting others through fostering a workplace where learning and knowledge sharing are encouraged.
• Supporting meaningful cross government reform and better outcomes for Australians through the delivery of the first Regulatory Reform Omnibus Bill.

Congratulations to our 2026 winners.
