Government Advertising Management
Australian Government Departments and Agencies subject to the Financial Management and Accountability (FMA) Act 1997 are required to:
- Place their campaign and non-campaign advertising through the Central Advertising System;
- Abide by the Guidelines on Campaign Advertising by Australian Government Departments and Agencies (June 2008);
- Use the Communications Multi-Use List to select consultants for campaigns with expenditure over $250,000; and
- Abide by their own department’s procurement procedures (that is, not to use the Communications Multi-Use List) to select consultants for campaigns with expenditure under $250,000.
