Departments of State will conduct periodic reviews of all existing and potential charging activities within their portfolios at least every five years, in accordance with the published schedule of portfolio charging reviews or at other times agreed by the Finance Minister.
Terms of reference for each review are agreed between the Finance Minister and the Portfolio Minister, with Portfolio Ministers reporting the Portfolio Charging Review outcomes in their Portfolio Budget Submissions.
When Machinery-of-Government changes occur (including Portfolio name changes), entities can contact the Department of Finance if clarification is required.
