The Telecommunications Internet Based Network Connection Services (IBNC Services) Panel, which was established on 5 July 2011, has been expanded with the following three new additions:

  • Optus Networks Pty Limited;
  • AAPT Limited; and
  • Nextgen Networks Pty Ltd.

Other companies may be added to the panel in the near future, as negotiations and contractual arrangements are finalised.

The panel provides access to telecommunications carriage services, including major internet connections. This panel may be accessed through the Department of Finance and Deregulation.

This whole of government panel is mandatory for Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 (FMA) agencies, and optional for agencies under the Commonwealth Authority and Companies Act 1997 (CAC). State government agencies can use this panel.

I posted a notice here on the blog about this panel on 12 July 2011.
