The Excellence in eGovernment Awards, Government 2.0 Innovator Award and the ICT Professional of the Year Award closed on Tuesday. We received a flood of nominations in the last couple of days. At last count we had over 60 nominations – up from 41 last year. It has been great to see the quality and diversity of the nominations. Once the registration process is finished, the nominations will be passed to our judging panels to do their jobs. Just in case nominees are wondering, we will let everyone know on 2 May whether they have made it through to the second round of judging.

Whether you are a finalist or not we hope to see you at this year’s Awards presentation at the CeBIT ICT Celebration dinner on Wednesday, 1 June 2011 at the Sydney Convention Centre Darling Harbour. It’s a fun night and a wonderful way to celebrate the work we do. If you want to know more please contact the eGovernment Awards Coordinator at e-governmentaward@finance.gov.au or 02 6215 3089.
