Recently AGIMO presented at the IPv6 Summit in Melbourne to report on the Governments progress transitioning to IPv6 as guided by the IPv6 transition strategy for Government agencies.  The presentation is available from the Summit organiser’s website (PDF, 433k) (update) below but the main message is that the Government is on target to have government services available over IPv6 in 2012. The preparation phase (Stage 1 of the transition) has gone very well and the transition phase (Stage 2 of the process) is now well progressed. We will continue to monitor agencies progress and proactively manage the Government’s transition to IPv6.
