CDDA Scheme

Where it has been determined that a person has no legal right to compensation, the CDDA Scheme provides a possible avenue for compensation where a person has suffered detriment due to the defective actions or inaction of the Commonwealth Government. Responsibility for CDDA claims rests with the portfolio Minister and officers authorised by the Minister.

Claims are managed and investigated by the non-corporate Commonwealth entity that is alleged to have been defective.
