Parliamentarians' Entitlements

On 8 September 2009, the Special Minister of State announced that the Government would … as soon as practical, develop a complete reporting regime for all Department of Finance and Deregulation expenditure on entitlements for or connected with senators and members or former parliamentarians

From the July to December 2009 reporting period, reports on Parliamentarians’ entitlements include expenditure on the following entitlements for Senators, Members and certain former Parliamentarians:

The Department of Finance and Deregulation (Finance) has prepared the reports listed below on entitlements provided to Parliamentarians, former Parliamentarians and widows of former Parliamentarians in accordance with the relevant legislation. 

These reports are compiled by Finance, tabled in Parliament biannually, and are available on the Finance website shortly after the documents have been tabled in Parliament. 

The supporting data underpinning the reports is also now available via the Finance website for all categories within the reports except for office facilities.
