DETERMINATIONS REGARDING THE EMPLOYMENT OF STAFF UNDER PART III

REVOCATIONS OF DETERMINATIONS REGARDING THE
EMPLOYMENT OF STAFF UNDER PART III

I, JOHN FAULKNER, Special Minister of State, for and on behalf of the Prime Minister:

  1. Make the determinations under section 12 of the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 (the Act) that are identified in Column 1 of Table A, that each Senator or Member named in the corresponding entry in Column 2 of Table A, holding the position set out in the corresponding entry in Column 3 of Table A, is empowered to employ staff under Part III of the Act, with effect from and including the date in the corresponding entry in Column 4 of Table A.

  2. Revoke each determination under section 12 of the Act that is identified in Column 1 of Table A with effect immediately prior to the moment that the Senator or Member to which the determination relates ceases to hold the position set out in the corresponding entry in Column 3 of Table A to which the determination relates.
  3. Determine under subsection 13(2) of the Act, that any staff employed under clause 1 of this Determination and subsection 13(1) of the Act may only be employed in positions allocated under the Act.
