DIRECTION TO DEFER THE TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT
I, JOHN FAULKNER, Special Minister of State, for and on behalf of the Prime Minister, direct under subsection 16(5) of the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 (the Act) that the employment of the electorate employees of the Hon Fran Bailey, terminated under paragraph 16(2)(a) of the Act following the swearing in of the Ministry on 3 December 2007, is deemed not to have terminated and to continue, or to have continued, until the day of the declaration of the poll for the electorate of McEwen in the Federal election.
