Chapter 6: Corporate Governance
The Department of Finance and Administration (Finance) is a central agency within the Australian Public Service (APS). It advises on most policy issues considered by the Australian Government, as well as delivering certain key programmes. As a department that is committed to efficient and effective operations and meeting the highest ethical standards, Finance adheres to the APS Values and APS Code of Conduct. It reinforces this commitment through its own Valued Behaviours.
Corporate governance in Finance focuses on ensuring that high accountability standards are met while providing for an appropriately streamlined decision-making framework.
