Community Survey December 2010
In December 2010 a telephone survey of 1,000 Moorebank area and other Sydney residents was conducted on behalf of the Commonwealth in relation to the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal proposal.
The sample consisted of approximately 600 residents from the suburbs of Moorebank, Wattle Grove, Holsworthy, Casula and Glenfield plus 400 from the remaining greater Sydney area. Participants were randomly selected in order to gain a representative sample of community knowledge and opinion.
The questionnaire asked respondents about their awareness and perceptions of the proposal as well as their opinion regarding potential benefits and possible negative impacts.
This survey is part of the process of community engagement and consultation for the feasibility assessment and provides the Commonwealth with useful guidance on public issues and concerns which the feasibility process will need to address.
A copy of the survey (including the script) is attached for the community’s reference.
