Albury-Wodonga Development Corporation

As a part of the Smaller Government measure in the 2014-15 Budget, the Government announced that the Albury-Wodonga Development Corporation (trading as the Albury-Wodonga Corporation) would cease, with the remaining property management functions to be consolidated into the Department of Finance (Finance) by 1 July 2015.

The Albury-Wodonga Development Corporation (Abolition) Act 2014 passed through the Parliament and received Royal Assent on 11 November 2014.  The Albury-Wodonga Development Corporation will be abolished on 31 December 2014.

Following the abolition of the Albury-Wodonga Development Corporation, Finance will be responsible for managing its residual functions, assets and liabilities including managing the remaining land holdings and continuing to divest properties over time.

As at 30 October 2014, the Albury-Wodonga Development Corporation owned 81 developed residential and industrial lots and 986 hectares of undeveloped land in the region.
