In September 2015, the Department of Finance (Finance) established a Whole-of-Government ICT Hardware and Associated Services Panel (ICT Hardware Panel). The suppliers to the panel were appointed through an open approach to the market. The panel has an initial term in place until 30 June 2018, with options to extend for up to three terms of 12 months each.

The panel is the mandatory procurement avenue for Non-Corporate Commonwealth entities subject to the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) to procure desktop PCs, mobile PCs, virtual desktop devices and monitors.  Associated services, servers and server racks are available to be optionally procured from this panel. For tablets, Non-Corporate Commonwealth entities must use one of the following coordinated procurements: the ICT Hardware Panel or the Mobile Panel.

The ICT Hardware Panel is also accessible to:

  • Corporate Commonwealth entities;
  • any other body governed by the Governor-General or State-Governor or by a Minister of State of the Commonwealth or a State or Territory including departments in State or Territory Governments; and
  • any incorporated company over which the Commonwealth or a State or Territory exercises control.

Details of the Panel, such as the Panellists, can be viewed on the AusTender Standing Order Notice (SON) 3295723.

Users must self-register onto the ICT Procurement Portalexternal siteto gain access to the panel. Further information regarding the procurement process for the panel is available on the portal.
