Whole of Government Cloud Services Panel
In January 2015, the Department of Finance established a whole-of-government Cloud Services Panel (Panel). There are currently 108 suppliers that have been appointed to the Panel through an open approach to market. The initial term of the Panel expires on 31 March 2017 with options to extend for another four years. The Panel is a non-mandatory procurement avenue for entities subject to the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act).
The following entities and government bodies are collectively referred to as "Agencies" under the Panel and are able to procure cloud services under the Panel:
- all entities and bodies subject to the PGPA Act;
- all other bodies governed by the Governor-General or a Minister of the Commonwealth or over which the Commonwealth exercises control; and
- all bodies governed by a State Governor or by a Minister of a State or Territory or over which a State or Territory exercises control (including departments in State or Territory Governments).
Details of the Panel, such as Panellists, can be viewed on the AusTender Standing Offer Notice (SON2914302) .
The Panel's Service Catalogue and Request for Quote processes are accessible through the ICT Procurement Portal. A short video is available demonstrating how Agencies can self register for the Portal. Additional guidance is available on the Portal.
