Assurance Reviewers
Reviewers
Reviewers can be sourced from the public or private sectors, depending upon the individual reviewer's suitability and availability. Reviewers sourced from the public sector are selected for their expertise in relation to a particular review, and not to represent their agency. Similarly, reviewers sourced from the private sector are selected for their expertise, not to represent their firm, and should not use the Assurance Review process to actively solicit business for themselves or their firm.
Responsibilities
The Responsibilities of the Reviewers include:
- Maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of the Assurance methodology;
- attending the Planning Meeting;
- identifying key stakeholders to be interviewed as part of the review, and conducting those interviews;
- identifying critical documentation to be reviewed, and examining the documentation;
- attending all days of the Review;
- working cooperatively with all participants in the Review including the Review Team, the Sponsoring Agency and the Assurance Reviews Branch;

- developing the Review Report content in accordance with the Review Guidance and Handbook and providing the final Report to the SRO on the last day of the Review. The Report should add to the SRO's understanding of the project or program's readiness to proceed to the next stage and should add value through its recommendations for action; and
