Cross Jurisdictional Chief Information Officers' Committee

The Cross Jurisdictional Chief Information Officers' Committee (CJCIOC), addresses e-government issues which span jurisdictional boundaries.  The CJCIOC provides leadership to all areas of government on implementing national strategic approaches to ICT across government.

Terms of Reference

The CJCIOC is a committee of officials from the Australian Government, New Zealand Government, and State and Territory Governments.  These officials have central coordination responsibility for ICT policy and strategy in their respective government administration.  The purpose of the Committee is to provide a cross-jurisdictional response to ICT issues that span jurisdictional boundaries.   The Committee is chaired by the Australian Government, represented by the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Finance and Deregulation.

The Committee will provide leadership to all areas of government to consider, promote, facilitate and reach agreement on implementing national strategic approaches to ICT across government.  It will function as a cross jurisdictional channel for consideration of business and technical issues relating to government online service delivery. The CJCIOC Terms of Reference will be reviewed every 12 months. These arrangements have been agreed on 8 September 2011.
