Chief Information Officer (CIO) FORUM
Introduction
The CIO Forum provides a mechanism for CIOs across the Australian Government to share information and enhance linkages to the Chief Information Officer Committee (CIOC) and the Secretaries' Committee on ICT (SCICT). Further information about these committees is at www.scict.gov.au [
].
Objectives
The objectives of the CIO Forum are to:
- share information about better practice approaches and key strategic issues being faced by agencies in their use of ICT to facilitate better government;
- provide a mechanism to contribute to CIOC activities and provide CIOC with non CIOC perspectives; and
- explore and pursue collaborative and cooperative opportunities.
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee of the CIO Forum plans the CIO Forum meetings with input from members. The Committee currently comprises members from the following agencies:
- Comcare
- Austrade
- The Treasury

- Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority
- Civil Aviation Authority
Meetings
The CIO Forum meets three times a year. Meetings are hosted by member agencies.

CIO Forum Communications
An email discussion list cio-forum@lists.agimo.gov.au supports the CIO Forum. CIOs wishing to participate in the CIO Forum should subscribe at www.lists.agimo.gov.au/mailman/listinfo/cio-forum. Information about meetings and other activities will be distributed to members via the discussion list.
