September 2008

The Australian Government Information Management Office will undertake a review of the entire framework.

March 2006

The Department of Human Services and the Australian Taxation Office signed a Collaborative Head Agreement (CHA) under the auspices of the National Service Improvement Framework on 23 March 2006. The CHA will cover future project activities between the two parties.

January 2006

The Federated Service Finder is the first cross-jurisdictional project developed under the auspices of the National Service Improvement Program.  The Collaborative Head Agreement was signed-off on 13 January 2006 by the New South Wales Department of Commerce, South Australia Department of Health and Centrelink.

November 2005

The Australian Ocean Data Centre Joint Facility (Marine Data) Project is the first intra-jurisdictional project to have successfully implemented the NSIF.  The Collaborative Head Agreement was signed-off by all party agencies in November 2005, resulting in the establishment of the Australian Ocean Data Centre Joint Facility.

5 October 2005

At the 24 August 2005 meeting, the Online and Communications Council endorsed the NSIF as the preferred agreement-making mechanism for collaborative service delivery across jurisdictions.

10 June 2005

The Integrated Transactions Reference Group is pleased to announce the launch of the new National Service Improvement Framework website. This website provides a gateway to information and resources that will enable collaborative service delivery in a cross-jurisdictional environment.
