Gatekeeper Accreditation - Medicare Australia
On 29 June 2011, the Gatekeeper Competent Authority granted Gatekeeper Accreditation to Medicare Australia, ABN 75 174 030 96, to operate as a Certification Authority.
Medicare Australia has been accredited to issue digital certificates in the Special category of the Gatekeeper PKI Framework.
Background
On 19 January 2001 the Gatekeeper Competent Authority granted Gatekeeper Accreditation to Health eSignature Authority Pty Limited (HeSA) (now Medicare Australia, ABN 75 174 030 967) to operate as a Registration Authority (Extended Services)
Medicare Australia assumed legal responsibility for the Health PKI operated by HeSA which is now a business unit within Medicare Australia.
