Winner ICT Professional of the Year

The winner of the inaugural ICT Professional of the Year Award was the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, Communications and Change Taskforce and User Centred Design Branch.

The ICT Professional of the Year Award was presented at the CeBIT ICT Celebration dinner on Wednesday, 25 May 2010.

Department of Immigration and Citizenship - Communication and Change Taskforce and the User Centred Design Branch

The Communication and Change Taskforce and the User Centred Design Branch are change managers, communications specialists, training and user-centred design professionals who have demonstrated superior leadership and excelled in delivering large scale, complex, extended change management for the Systems for People (SfP) Program. Their work provides a ‘people focus’ for more than 200 diverse business and ICT projects, that variously impact the department’s 8,000 staff across 80 global locations.

The Economic Stimulus Plan Project Team successfully implemented a web strategy and developed a website to illustrate the roll out and impact of more than 33,000 approved projects across the Australian Government’s Nation Building-Economic Stimulus Plan (ESP). The website is a unique program administration tool that presents detailed whole of government program information. It allows the public to better understand and see the progress of individual stimulus projects in an interactive and personalised manner.

Department of Immigration and Citizenship - Application Testing Centre

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) Application Testing Centre (ATC) have excelled in their approach to Quality Assurance and Management. The Systems for People (SfP) is redesigning business processes, finding better ways to manage and use information and implementing large scale innovative IT solutions The ATC team have excelled in the creation of the DIAC Testing Framework and a robust set of test deliverables, processes and procedures.
