Entity Infrastructure and Services

Overview

The Technology & Procurement Division (TPD) supports the work of federal ministers, Australian Government entities and the Council of Australian Government (COAG) through the management and operation of secure, cost effective, innovative and practical telecommunications networks that build public sector capability and improve government operations.

Data Carriage Services

The Government Network Services (GNS) data carriage service facilitates the transmission of data over a dedicated communication network to connect geographically diverse locations across a nation-wide network.

GNS offers two types of data carriage services to help entities build capability and create cost savings and efficiencies: a service for unsecured data carriage and a service to carry data up to the PROTECTED classification level.
