The Awards showcase the work of government agencies, Federal, State and Local, who are using technology to work smarter and improve the delivery of services within our communities.

The Awards also help us to recognise and acknowledge the leadership, dedication and capability of individuals within those agencies in delivering government services.

Hi all,

I am pleased to note that Minister for Finance has announced that a new panel has been established to provide international and domestic air travel for the Australian Government.  The new arrangement commences on 1 May 2016, for an initial term of five years.  The panel consists of 18 airlines, with four airlines providing domestic air travel services.  The arrangement will continue to deliver value for money, provide operational efficiencies and enable a high level of flexibility to meet the government’s evolving needs.

Finance established a Whole of Government Cloud Services Panel (the Panel) in January 2015 to provide access to cloud services for Agencies. The Panel currently has 114 suppliers and over 400 Services listed across nine Categories.

Finance committed to approach the market in the fourth quarter of 2015/16 in order to refresh the Panel by providing an opportunity to add new suppliers and to expand the current scope of the Panel.

Congratulations to all of the nominees for the 2016 Australian Government ICT Awards.

Local, state and federal government agencies continue to demonstrate excellence, innovation and professionalism in the use of ICT.

This year we received inspirational nominations from across Australia and from all levels of government.

Each nomination is an acknowledgement of the excellent work that government does, and to have a project nominated is a proud achievement.
