Our Recruitment Process
Online application

Online testing and assessment
Once all applications have been received they, will be shortlisted and candidates will be selected to proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process. It is in your interest to provide a solid application that fully answers the questions asked in the online application.
If you are rated suitable from your online application, you will be contacted by Finance and be asked to complete a cognitive online assessment.
First stage assessment centre
Candidates who are shorlisted will be invited to attend first round assessment centres and will be involved in the following sessions:
- ice breaker;
- proof reading and editing exercise;
- written problem solving test; and
- time management/in tray exercise.
Second stage assessment centre
Candidates who are rated suitable will be invited to participate in the second assessment centre held in Canberra (Finance will bring candidates to Canberra) which consists of:
- an interview;
- a group exercise; and
- a presentation.
Offers
Those candidates rated suitable will receive an offer after the second assessment centre which is expected to be will be in July 2008.
Performance Management
Finance graduates will participate in Finance's performance management system. graduates are to have a written performance agreement signed with their supervisor within one month of commencing in Finance. A performance agreement outlines the roles and responsibilities of a graduate and also provides graduates with the opportunity to participate in further learning and development options (internal and external).
