The Department of Finance and Deregulation

Finance is a central agency responsible for advising on and implementing many key Government priorities. We play a pivotal role in driving forward initiatives which, when in place, will help transform how the Australian Government conducts its business.

Our role is to help the Australian Government achieve its policy objectives by contributing to four key outcomes:

Finance Valued Behaviours

The Finance Valued Behaviors articulate the guiding principles that drive and motivate us, help us achieve our corporate goals and shape our future direction.

Our Valued Behaviors form the cornerstone of our organisational culture and are to be upheld throughout our organisation - both in language and in action. They are an extension of the APS Values and Code of Conduct.

APS Values and Code of Conduct

In the Australian Government the APS Values provide the real basis and integrating element of the APS, its professionalism, its integrity and its impartial and responsive service to the Government of the day.

Please find the APS Values at: http://www.apsc.gov.au/values/index.html [External Site] .

APS employees are required, under the APS Code of Conduct, to behave at all times in a way which upholds the APS Values.
