Recruitment Process
Step 1: Apply online
The online application should take you about 20 minutes to complete. There are a series of questions to answer. You will also need to provide a current resume and academic transcript.
Step 2: Online testing
If your application is successful you will be asked to complete an online test. This test is designed to assess your cognitive and analytical ability.
Step 3: Assessment Centres
Based on your results from the online test, you may be invited to participate in assessment centres. These are conducted in all major capital cities and run for approximately half a day.
Assessments include:
- Group exercise
- Written exercise
- Time management exercise
Step 4: Second stage of Assessment Centres
Based on your results from the Assessment Centre, you may be invited to participate in a second stage of assessments. These Assessment Centres are conducted in Canberra. If you are located in another state, Finance will arrange for your flights to Canberra for the day.
This gives you a chance to see where you could be working, get a feel for Canberra and attend a networking lunch for you to meet current Graduates and Executives from across the Department.
Assessments include:
- Interview
- Presentation
Step 5: Offers
Based on the results from all assessments we then determine who we will offer a position on the program.
