About Finance

The Department of Finance and Deregulation (Finance) is a central Agency responsible for advising on and implementing many key Government priorities.

Our role is to help the Australian Government achieve its policy objectives by contributing to four key outcomes:

Finance provides high quality, strategic policy and financial advice to support Government decision making and improved Australian Government financial management.

Finance delivers professional support services to our Ministers, Federal Parliamentarians and their staff, and to the Government as a whole.
