Government Businesses Advice Branch (GBAB) oversees and manages the Government's shareholding in Government Business Enterprises (GBEs), and advises on the appointment and remuneration of GBE Boards and CEOs.
Insurance and Risk Management Branch (Comcover)

The Insurance and Risk Management Branch administers Comcover, the Australian Government´s self managed insurance Fund, and works in partnership with Australian Government agencies to promote a risk management culture. The Comcover Fund operates by collecting premiums from participating members, accumulating reserves, and meeting claims from those reserves.
Comcover's operational tasks, including risk management services, underwriting, claims management, actuarial services, and reinsurance are outsourced to the private sector.

The Special Claims and Land Policy Branch assists the Minister for Finance and Administration and the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance and Administration with their portfolio responsibilities in relation to the Australian Government´s land policy and public works policy. The Branch also provides advice on requests for act of grace payments and waiver of debts under the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997.

The Property and Construction Division delivers services and provides advice related to the Australian Government's non-Defence property portfolio, including construction and project delivery strategies.

Property Branch

Property Branch (PB) is responsible for the management of the Australian Government's domestic non-Defence property portfolio. The portfolio includes a diverse range of property types including office buildings, law courts and other special purpose properties, public interest properties, heritage buildings, residential properties and vacant land. Day-to-day management of the property portfolio is outsourced.

The Project Inception Branch is responsible for the inception (planning) phase of domestic non-Defence major capital works projects. The Branch is also responsible for the construction of the new National Portrait Gallery in Canberra and the Fort Scratchley heritage restoration in Newcastle, NSW.

The Project Delivery Branch is responsible for the construction and delivery of domestic non-Defence major capital works projects including the refurbishment of the Royal Australian Mint and management of the fit-out of the ANZAC Park West office facilities.

The Procurement Division is responsible for developing and maintaining the Australian Government's procurement policy framework. The procurement policy framework establishes the principles for the Australian Government's acquisition of property and services.

The Procurement Implementation Branch is responsible for procurement policy and advice relating to public private partnerships and air travel; managing AusTender, the Australian Government's central procurement information system; the Information and Communication Technology Multi-Use List; managing the government's central advertising system contracts; and the development of government procurement capability.
